The Minoan Antiquities Collection at Iraklio Museum on the island of Crete will again open to the public after more than seven years, the museum announced on Tuesday. The public will be able to visit the collection, which has been closed since November 2006, from 8:00 in the morning until 20:00 at night. It includes several famous ancient works of art and artifacts, including idols depicting the snake and poppy goddesses of Minoan civilization, the Phaestus Disc, the ivory bull leaper and the iconic bull-leaping murals and a host of other items made of gold, precious gems, pottery and elaborate stonework.
